This graffiti is allegedly by British graffiti artist, Banksy, and this was on a parking lot wall near Boston Chinatown. To me, this is art. Because it is a creative expression, and it conveys a feeling (in this case, cynicism, hopelessness, etc.).
Do you know if he did the whole thing, or just wrote "CANCELLED?" I am hoping he did the whole graffiti rather than just writing over someone else's work, since the former is deliberate and poignant, whereas the latter seems like sad vandalism to me.
(for now at least) I'm choosing to think that he did the whole thing, and it's really cool.
