Do you know that there are actually many real life superheroes out there? And by that I mean people who have costumes and stalk the night to help the helpless. A while ago, I stumbled upon an old CNN article about in tough economic times, there is an influx of masked, real life superheroes. Then there are also The Real Life Superhero Project , Team Justice, and Superhero Anonymous, and you get the sense that there are those out there who are committed to do good, comic book style.
At the risk of looking even nerdier, I want to create a short graphic novel of sorts ( a few panels) with a story that's based on these guys (although I don't want to connect it directly to them). No, I'm not a comic book or a graphic novel fan, but I've always found the images in them striking. I think it would be interesting to explore the graphic novel style of drawing, and I think it should be a good way to practice light and shadows in drawings.
